1D Finite Element Method

The next application shows the result of Finite Element Method use to solve the electric field when an incident wave of amplitude 1 goes through materials of different sizes and permitivities. The mesh is constructed using 48 cells per wavelength.

Click the plot to run/stop the animation. Change the parameters and click the plot to run it again.

The region of size 1 wavelength is divided in 5 segments. The maximum value of permitivity is 8.

Every point must be inside a region of length 1.
